The Switch House is the latest addition to Tate Modern. Designed by architects Herzog & de Meuron. The outside of the building is clad by a perforated brick wall which in some places covers the windows. The spacious interior is a combination of the existing structure of the oil tanks and polished concrete and wooden floors. Especially striking are the concrete spiral staircases. On the 10th floor is an outdoor viewing gallery.
