Booster Station, Amsterdam
The Stainless steel exterior of this booster station in Amsterdam gives the impression a large engine block. Housing a pumping-engine for sluicing out sewage makes it a stylish building with a very mundane use. It is a technical and functional utility building which houses a series of pipes and three pumping engines for the drainage of the sewage water.
Winner of the Dutch steel award 2006.
