Toro at the Kyoto Garden, Holland park

The Kyoto Garden in Holland park is in the Tour Garden style, a typical traditional garden style of Japan. The Pond is depicting a vast Ocean. Along the Path there are traditional stone lanterns (Toro). The Garden was constructed as a part of the Japan Festival in 1991 and was built by the Kyoto Chamber of commerce and was opened by H.R.H The Prince of Wales and H.I.H. the Crown Prince of Japan on 17th Sept 1991.
