The Esplanade, Singapore's distinct theatres famous for its quirky architecture.....The Esplanade theatre is situated on the waterfront at the Marina Bay. It houses concert hall and theatre, performing arts venue, exhibition rooms, shopping mall and restaurants.....It is nicknamed the 'Durian' by Singaporians because of the similarities with this typical South East Asian fruit.....Architects: DPA Singapore, Michael Wilford and Partners (MWP) London.
